Chardham Yatra 2024-25 Itinerary
Begin your Chardham Yatra Package from Delhi with a drive towards Haridwar. On arrival, check into the hotel and take some rest for a while. In the evening, attend grand Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri on the banks of the Ganges and stay at nearby hotels overnight.
Post breakfast, leave for Barkot (Janki Chatt)i, the beautiful hill station located on the foot of Yamunotri. En-route, visit the famous Kempty Falls in Mussoorie. On arrival, check into the hotel/camp, and the rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the Pahad Yatra of Yamunotri for the next day.
Today you will depart for Hanuman Chatti, Janki Chatti, where you will begin the first destination of Chardham Yatra, that is Yamunotri. Where you can trek or you get the option of hiring ponies, palki, or a horse that passes through a lush green valley, the profusion of conifers, cacti, rhododendrons, & various species of Himalayan Shrubs. On arrival at Yamunotri, take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform Pooja. Later, return to the hotel/camp for an overnight stay in Barkot.
After checking out from the hotel you will drive towards Uttarkashi. Upon arrival at Uttarkashi, check into the hotel and rest. In the evening, visit the famous Vishwanath Temple followed by dinner and night stay.
Get ready to drive towards Gangotri Dham, located in the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas. On arrival, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Visit the Gangotri Temple. In the late afternoon, after attending the Pooja, drive back to Uttarkashi and stay in the Hotel.
On the 6th day of the trip, you will leave towards Guptkashi which is the next destination. On reaching Guptkashi, check into the hotel & take some rest. The town holds the immense religious importance of the famous ancient temples like Ardhnarishwar temple and Vishwanath temple. For your next day's journey, get your medical check-up done and have a comfortable overnight stay in the hotel/camp.
Check out from the hotel and drive towards Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, multiple options exist. You can start trekking to Kedarnath Dham or also hire a Doli, horse, or pony at your own cost as well as you can also avail services like chardham yatra by helicopter. Mandakini is the main tributary of the Ganges originating at Kedarnath that flows through Gaurikund. Here, you will get a glimpse of the picturesque beauty of the valley that will leave you mesmerized. On arrival, check into the lodges/camps of the government on the premises of Kedarnath Dham.
Wake up in the early morning and take a bath in the early morning for the ‘Abhishek Pujan’ of Kedarnath Lord Shiva. Go inside for Garbha Griha and touch the idol. After taking the Darshan of Kedarnath, return to the camp/lodge. Later, start your trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag.
After leaving the hotel, move to Badrinath temple via Joshimath. Badrinath is the most significant pilgrimage site that holds immense importance for both Hindus and Buddhists, where the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On reaching Badrinath, check into the hotel and take some rest or refreshments to go to Badrinath temple for having beautiful Darshan in the evening. But firstly, go to the Tapt Kund, the hot water spring, take a holy bath, and then visit the temple.
In the early morning, visit the Badrinath temple for Darshan. Later, back to the hotel for early morning breakfast and leave for local sightseeing at Badrinath. Visit various attractions here such as Ganesh Gufa, Mata Murti temple, Mana village, and Vyas Gufa. In the afternoon, check out from the hotel and head towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath. On your way, visit Karanprayag. On arrival at Rudraprayag, check into the hotel and rest for the day or explore the beauty of this place.
Have an early morning breakfast on the second last day of your journey & drive towards Rishikesh, located on the foothills of the Himalayas and famous for adventure activities. On arrival at Rishikesh, check into the hotel and rest for a while. Later, go out sightseeing and visit Laxman Jhula or Ram Jhula. In the evening, attend the beautiful Ganga Aarti performed at the Rishikesh Ghat.
